About Me

About Me

One of the best feelings in the world is knowing your presence and absence both mean something to someone – unknown

Hello and welcome. My name is Josefine, I’m a Dane living in Great Britain, a nurse, a happy baker, a creative soul, lover of the outdoors but first and foremost I am a mother and this is my Danglish Family!

J and I became parents in February 2016 and since then life as we knew it changed dramatically, but also so wonderfully and definitely to the better. From being just the two of us, and one grumpy old cat, we are now a little family of 3 (4 if you count Walter the grump)

The time up to our little smiler joining the world was turbulent and exciting, he was not planned and facing becoming parents for the first time was scary to say the least! But sometimes it is good to be a little scared, feeling out of your depths, because sometimes what you feared at first end up feeling like it was meant to be, like it was the missing piece, yes I know I sound a bit corny! But I honestly feel that my most important and loved “job” is to be a mother. I just wasn’t aware before my little boy came to be and torpedoed into my heart. This is part of the reason why I’ve started this little universe. I wish to have something to look back on, a virtual book of memories, thoughts, fears, joys and laughs and I hope you will join me.

So why a blog?

I’ve long been a reader of blogs. lifestyle, food, fashion, travel, family and fun blogs, you name it! I love following the lives of strangers, getting to know them and somehow feel like you’re friends even if you never meet. It’s inspiring finding likeminded people and sharing thoughts and tips on anything and everything. For quite a while now I have admired the bloggers I follow and many times I’ve been close to creating my own universe, but somehow it just didn’t seem right until now. I hope that I’ll be able to connect with likeminded people and I hope that I can inspire and entertain through thoughts and stories of our everyday life – a life of a mum, of family adventures, outdoor fun, creations and baking!
